SHILLONG: Health and Family Welfare Minister AL Hek on Thursday informed that every vehicle entering the state is now being sanitised at the entry and exit point in Byrnihat.
Hek along with officials of the Health department visited the site and took stock of the situation.
“Every vehicle, be it a truck, small vehicle or even two-wheeler is being sanitised and none is allowed to enter without it”, he said.
The sanitisation is being done by Swachh Bharat volunteers along with local volunteers provided by the MLA.
Appreciating the move, he said that everybody in the state is taking COVID-19 seriously and determined to defeat the virus.
