EJH bans video recording, photography in hospitals

SHILLONG: The District Magistrate of East Jaintia Hills has prohibited the use of mobile phones for recording or photography of activities taking place in hospitals, quarantine, isolation centres and corona care centres.
The order was issued under Section 144Cr PC for the general public to stop the spread of fake news and rumors amid the pandemic.
Hospitals were also asked to set up warning signboards in and around the entrances and ensure necessary compliance by the public as well as the staff.
