JOWAI: The summer session of the Jaintia hills Autonomous District Council was prorogued on Thursday. The one-day session was attended by all MDCs with the exception of Shangpung South MDC Wanbiang Shadap.
The session commenced with Obituary references to three former members of the House – Phrang Rymbai (Rymbai), Hari R Sari (Mukhla) and Don Sing Laloo (Nartiang).
The House also decided to send condolence messages to their respective families and observed a one-minute silent prayer for them. The session was proroque after questions and replies and approval of the official reports placed on the floor of the House.
