2470 return to Meghalaya from NE states till date

SHILLONG: Meghalaya, Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong said 2470 stranded citizens of the state had returned for Northeastern states so far.

Out of the returnees, 177 returned through Tikrikila Check Point, 330 through Ratacherra Check Point,1058 through Bajengdoba Check Point and 878 through Byrnihat Check Point.

He Informed that number of samples sent for testing was 2287, out of which 2178 persons tested COVID-19 negative while 96 results were being awaited.

The state now has so far detected 13 COVID-19 positive cases – one death, 10 recovered and two active.
