39 more test positive, Assam’s COVID tally up to 466

GUWAHATI:  Another 39 new cases of  COVID-19 positive have been confirmed by early afternoon on Monday. “All swabs samples had been taken before they were put in quarantine. Of those, 35 cases are from Golaghat, three from Dhemaji and one from Nagaon

Meanwhile, 30,33,591 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in India till 9 am on Monday and 90,170 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, according to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

The ICMR has expanded its testing capacity to tackle COVID-19 as effectively as possible even as incidence of COVID-19 positive cases continues to increase all over the country notwithstanding unrelenting lockdown since March 24 night in order to break the chain of transmission of the virus.
