HYC condemns attack on NE returnees on train in Bihar

SHILLONG: The Assistant General Secretary of Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC), Isaac W. Basaiawmoit has urged the state government and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to punish the culprits involved in the attack in Bihar on the train carrying stranded NE residents back home.

In a statement issued here, he said that the organization was saddened to learn about  the incident involving residents of North East returnees from Haryana who they were harassed by locals in Bihar.

He added that the state government and the Center should ensure that such incidents should not be repeated in the future.
