Traders clarify on broomstick procurement

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Brooms and Tezpatta Traders Association has informed that they did not stop the procurement of broomsticks from farmers/producers at the Mawiong Regulated Market at any point of time due to unavoidable circumstances arising out of transit pass.
In a statement on Thursday, the Association said that the news report that there are no takers for broomsticks as transit pass is too pricey is not true.
