Health protocols for shops in WGH

TURA: West Garo Hills district administration on Tuesday issued health protocols for shopkeepers in the district to prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
Wearing of face masks in the correct manner and maintaining social distancing were made mandatory for all shop owners, staff and customers.
Additional protocols were laid down for shopkeepers of medium, large and standalone outlets.
According to these, they have to provide hand sanitisers at the entrance, maintain 1-2 metres distance between customers and staff, ensure that not more than five persons enter the shop and sanitisation of hands by customers before touching items.
It was also notified that frequent sanitisation of shops is important especially at points that frequently come into people’s contact like door knobs etc.
