Clan says no member attended wedding party

MAWKYRWAT: The Lyngdoh Tongkhar clan along with Rangmaw village on Monday clarified that no one from the Lyngdoh Tongkhar clan or from Rangmaw village attended the wedding at Greenwood Resort, Khanapara.
With many people from Mawkyrwat fearing that people from Rangmaw might have attended the wedding, the Myntri of Rangmaw village, Drus Lyngdoh, said that the village authorities had already informed the South West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner that no one from the village will attend the wedding.
Lyngdoh also said the family members of the bride, who hailed from Rangmaw, wanted to visit their family members prior to the wedding, but were denied permission by the village authorities.
Lyngdoh also clarified that the bride’s father was originally from Rangmaw but had settle in Khanapara, adding that he has not visited the village for quite some time.
