City house gutted; zero casualties

SHILLONG: A house in Mynriang village under Mawyrngkneng Block, East Khasi, belonging to Phrisha Kharsati and Larsing Nongrum, caught fire on Friday. However, there were no casualties reported.
It has been estimated that a loss of Rs 4 lakh has been incurred after the fire engulfed all the belongings.
Meanwhile, MDC, Pyniaid Syiem, has rendered a monetary aid to the affected family. Syiem has also written to the state government and the district administration to extend assistance to the family.
