SHILLONG: West Shillong MLA Mohendro Rapsang has sought Chief Minister Conrad Sangma’s help in alleviating problems faced by people in his constituency including shortage of water and non-functional street lights.
In a memorandum to the chief minister, the MLA said that several localities in his constituency, including Lower Mawprem, Mawbah, Sunny Hills and Lama Village, are facing water shortage most of the time.
In addition, the MLA said street lights have been non-functional for over a month. “This has caused much inconvenience to the people, especially in the night time as it is unsafe for them to walk in the dark streets and lanes,” he said.
