Meghalaya forms COVID team for wildlife

SHILLONG: Meghalaya government has constituted a separate COVID management team for wildlife in addition to the numerous COVID management committees in the state to tackle the situation arising out of the pandemic.

Informing this, Forest Minister Lahkmen Rymbui said that a committee headed by the Director Wildlife director was constituted. The Director of Animal Husbandry is also a member. The objective of the committee is to see how is the affect, if any, of COVID19 on animals in the State be it in the forest or mini zoo.
