SHILLONG: In the wake of the Hynniewtrep A’chik National Movement (HANM) president absconding over theft charges, the HANM has suspended him, adding that the organisation will initiate a probe into the allegations.
The HANM president, LT Shadap, happens to be one of the suspects who was allegedly involved in a theft case.
Speaking to media persons here on Friday, general secretary of HANM central body, C Pyngrope, said that the FIR has named Shadap albeit the organisation’s name was not mentioned.
Pyngrope maintained that Shadap will remain under suspension and the organisation will conduct an inquiry into the allegations.
“The members of the central body are still in the dark about the circumstances that led to such an incident. If he has committed anything wrong then it is his doing and the central body has no knowledge of it,” Pyngrope claimed.
