Break-in
Akash KR Shahni of 29-Cantonment Goenka Compound, Shillong lodged a complaint that on September 9 around 8 am, while he was sleeping, unknown miscreants broke into his residence and stole his mobile phone.
Police patrolling party from Sadar PS on September 11 around 3.30 am apprehended one Tirot Khardewsaw (30) of Pyndengrei Nongstoin, West Khasi Hills (WKH), while he was breaking into a shop at Police Bazar, Shillong. The accused is also reported to have been involved in the September 6 assault of Ardo Nongrum with sharp objects at Iewduh, Shillong.
SF-10 personnel on September 10 around 7 am caught red-handed two persons, viz. Augustine Kharjana (21) and Roshan Gurung (21) while they were attempting to break open the vegetable godown at Anjalee Parking Lot.

Assault
Bianglin Myrthong of Mawkapiah village, WKH, lodged a complaint that injury marks were found on the body of her elder brother, viz. Johning Marthong, who was lying sick in his residence. During enquiry, it transpired that he was assaulted by two persons, namely Yesterwell Kharbani and Shan Lyngkhoi of the same village.

Intercepted
Party from Pynursla PS, EKH, on September 10, while conducting checking at Nongtyngur village (EKH), detained one new Yamaha R-15 motorcycle from Teiborlang Joshua Kharumnuid of Pyrdiwah village, which was proceeding towards Indo-Bangladesh border.
Police from Pynursla PS, East Khasi Hills, on September 9 detected one tipper truck (ML-05P-2729) driven by Buromstar Mawrie transporting 20 number of cattle towards Indo-Bangladesh International Border.

Theft bid
Mecare Suting of GSI Rynjah, Shillong, lodged a complaint that on September 10 around 4 am, two unidentified persons were caught red-handed while stealing materials valued around Rs 1,78,000 from the construction site of Regional Training Institute of GSI at Rynjah.

Theft
Franky Willson Mawblei lodged a complaint that on August 9 between 1.45 pm to 3.30 pm, unknown miscreants broke the windshield of his Maruti van (ML-05F-0650) which was parked at Lummawbah Taxi Stand, and stole one speaker and one bass tube.
Payment failed
Ganga J Chettri of Langkyrding, EKH, lodged a complaint that in the month of June 2017, he lent Rs 2,50,000 to one Bapan Paul (36) with an agreement in presence of Dapkupar Kharmutee and Lasubon Nongsiej as witnesses, that he would clear an amount of Rs 1,50,000 by October 2017 and remaining amount of Rs 1 lakh would be paid in instalment at Rs 5,700 per month starting from October 2017. However, Bapan Paul has failed to do so.
