Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh government today decided to hand over the journalist shoot-out case to the CBI. Under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nabam Tuki, the cabinet decided to hand over the case to the premier investigation agency of the country, official sources informed. Arunachal Times associate editor Tongam Rina was critically injured when unknown miscreants shot at her from point blank range on July 15 when she was entering her office.

Rina is presently undergoing treatment in Delhi after being shifted from Rama Krishna Mission Hospital here early this month. Even after 46 days passed of the shooting incident, the police are still clueless on information of the miscreants involved. (PTI)
