Shillong: The murder case of one, Carnel Hynniewta (28) who was declared dead on Friday afternoon took a new turn when his sister, Bernalin Hynniewta was suspected of being involved in his death.
Police suspected a foul play in the death of Carnel with his sister being the main suspect in this connection.
Police informed that the matter is under enquiry.
Meanwhile, on Friday at around 2am, one Sevensingh Damlong (25) was murdered by unknown miscreants near Kongripara / Sohkhwai villages under Byrnihat OP (RB).
The dead body has been sent to civil hospital, Nongpoh for post mortem examination.
In another incident, police arrested one, Dr Kamaljit Singh Sehdave for assaulting Dr Japneet Kaur and also threatened her with dire consequences at Upper New Colony, Laitumkhrah here on Thursday.
