MAWKYRWAT: The ‘strong foundation’ of Mei-ieid Spility Lyngdoh Langrin, an anti-uranium activist, who passed away recently, has inspired the KSU to indefinitely continue the fight against uranium mining, feels KSU president Lambokstarwell Marngar.
Asked how much the death of Spility would affect the Union in their campaign against uranium mining, Marngar said, “Mei-ieid Spility and (L) Bah Hopingstone Lyngdoh (HSPDP leader) were the main architects before the KSU stepped in on the fight against uranium mining in Domiasiat area. Thus, her death was a great loss to the Union as well as others”.
Marngar admired Spility’s spirit and recalled her as a strong pillar which stood against the duress of different pro-uranium mining forces.
