SHILLONG: The ANVC (B) on Sunday put off their proposed road blockade for a week.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, the ANVC (B), while withdrawing the blockade, warned that if GHADC Chief Executive Member PK Sangma does not resign within a week’s time, they would be compelled to take recourse to drastic action.

“The GHADC CEM PK Sangma and Deputy CEM Brigady N Marak must resign taking moral responsibility for the Council’s present state of affairs,” the ANVC (B) statement said.

The outfit also said that it would take a different approach to fight corruption in Garoland.
