SHILLONG, Nov 11: Amid the ongoing celebrations for the saffron party after winning the bypolls, the state BJP on Wednesday said that its win over a regional party like the NPP bears witness to the people’s faith in the party.
“The results of Manipur bypolls, where BJP won on all 5 seats, are encouraging. This win, which was also over regional parties like the NPP, proves that the people of North East trust the BJP for fighting corruption and for ushering in development in the region. It also gives new hope to the people of Meghalaya,” the state BJP said.
Expressing its gratitude to the people for “reposing their faith” in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the saffron party said, “The victories are a testimony to the good work being done by the BJP government and a validation of the Sab ka Saath, Sab ka Vikas motto by our prime minister,” the BJP said in a statement.
