SHILLONG, Nov 17: The 121st celebration of Seng Kut Snem will not witness the usual throng as only leaders of the Seng Khasi Kmie and not more than 300 invitees, as directed by the government, will be allowed to participate.
In a statement issued here, president of Seng Khasi Kmie, Don Kupar Dkhar, informed that the Seng Khasi flag will be hoisted at Mawkhar on November 23 at 8 pm.
He added that the gathering at Lympung Shad Weiking, Shillong, on the same day, is to be attended by members of the Seng Khasi Kmie and the invitees who have received the invitation card/entry pass.
Urging the different branches of Seng Khasi across the Hynniewtrep land to celebrate Seng Kut Snem by hoisting the Seng Khasi flag along with prayers in their respective areas, Dkhar has exhorted that the number of attendees should not exceed 50 persons.
