Protest rally against factional clash

Kohima: People from every walks of life on Tuesday gathered at Public Ground here and held a peace protest rally against the faction violence where NSCN (K) cadre was fired upon by GPRN/NSCN in Forest Colony on Monday morning.

According to official sources S K James representative of Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) while addressing the gathering said, “Forgiveness is found neither in Kiphire nor in Delhi it is in our heart, but if we don’t know how to forgive one another as Christian we will not find peace.’ Citing an example of Gandhi, James said, the largest democracy India got independence through non-violence and not through violence means and asked the faction to shunt violence’.

Organiser of protest rally Yangkhaba vice-president USLB said, ‘It is time for citizen to safeguard peace.” Reading out the ENPO resolution of September 13 2012 Vice-President USLB said, as the resolution stated if any one violate this he should face action within 15 days, failing which citizens will not give co-operation and this has been violated so action should be taken failing which the citizen will not give co-operation’.
