SHILLONG: Police arrested one Pokshe Rai for physically and mentally torturing his wife, Tlen Syiem at Umsen village (Ri Bhoi), since June till September. The victim sustained injuries and became mentally unstable. In another incident, one Sheikh Forid Bepari murdered his wife, Madhu Khatoon at Nandichor village of South West Garo Hills.
