SHILLONG: The state unit of BJP on Sunday asked the Government to streamline the distribution of PDS.
“In a state where children go to bed without food, there are reports that PDS food grains are being smuggled to Bangladesh”, the BJP general secretary Dipayan Chakraborty said in a statement on Sunday.
“The attitude of the UPA at Center and MPA in the State indicates that they are Governments by the Indians for the
Bangladeshis”, Chakraborty said.
According to BJP leader, if around 29,000 kg food grains are being smuggled and the Government is silent over the issue which makes the tall claim of both Centre and State that they are serving the common man is questionable.
“People in the Country are going mad for the immense price rise in the country, farmers are not taken care, due to which there are reports that in many parts of the Country that farmers are committing suicide since they do not get adequate price for their crops and at the same times food grains are being smuggled
