Ungot River to reopen for visitors

SHILLONG, Jan 2: After the months-long COVID-induced pause, the Dorbar Shnong of Shnongpdeng has decided to reopen its tourist spot for visitors from January 5 while keeping a cap of 500 visitors in a day.
General secretary of the Dorbar Shnong, Lurman B Talang, in a statement, said that they are ready to welcome tourists, campers or visitors, who would want to pay a visit to Ungot River, Shnongpdeng.
However, the village council has requested the visitors to cooperate with the Dorbar Shnong as there will be changes in its functioning. “Everyone must adhere to COVID guidelines,” the statement added.
