Sanatan Dharmasabha Harisabha (Laban) will pay a tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his 125th birth anniversary. According to a statement, the day will be observed by hoisting the national flag at 7 am, bursting mild crackers at noon and lighting candles at 6 pm. “Netaji, in his visit in 1938 to Shillong, had held a public meeting in Harisabha, and this remains as a matter of pride for the people of Laban, and of course, for the people of Shillong as a whole,” the statement said. Meanwhile, the Harisabha has invited one and all to be a part of the programme.
