Contraband seized
On January 30 around 6.30 pm, police arrested two persons, viz. Vasu Gurung (23) and Reema D Sangma (23) from Long Range area, Thembasuk, Block-E, Madanrting, and seized 43.20 grams of suspected heroin from the possession of Vasu Gurung.
SDPO, Dadenggre Sub-Division, lodged a complaint that on January 22 around 11.20 am, police arrested one Abdul Kalam Azad from Gurban, WGH, and also seized 9263 Yaba tablets from his possession.
CI(S), Tura, WGH, lodged a complaint that on January 19, acting on inputs, police raided the house of one Chiston Sangma at Sepoy Colony Akongre and seized 192 Spasmo Proxyvon capsules and 740 Yaba tablets, which were reportedly kept by one Ashit Modak, meant to be sold in Tura, illegally.

Theft
Range Forest Officer, Nongpoh, Wildlife Range, lodged a complaint that unknown miscreant(s) stole 17 monitoring cameras worth Rs 3.74 lakh, which were installed at Nongkhyllem Reserve Forest, Ri Bhoi.
Nuruzzaman Sheik lodged a complaint that on January 30, he learnt that unknown miscreants broke into his official quarter at Mawroh, Shillong, and stole Rs 7,500 in cash, clothes, etc.
Richard Warjri lodged a complaint that on January 29 morning, he found that unknown miscreant(s) stole 21 heads of livestock belonging to him from Thynroit village, East Khasi Hills.
Shivani Dey lodged a complaint that on January 28 evening, Rs 15,000 in cash and two mobile phones were found missing from her residence at Moosalyngat, Jowai, West Jaintia Hills.

Break-in
Ravi Prakash Sharma lodged a complaint that on February 1 around 11 am, he found that unknown miscreants broke into his rented house at Lower Jail Road, Shillong, and ransacked his belongings and his briefcase containing Rs 12,600 and two silver coins was also found missing.

Cattle seized
Surendar Sharma of BOP Lyngkhat lodged a complaint that on January 31 around 2.15 am, BSF personnel detected 19 heads of cattle from near BP No. 1263/6-S, BOP Nayabazar, East Khasi Hills.
Azad Ali lodged a complaint that on the night of January 21, unknown miscreant(s) stole two heads of cattle from Shyamnagar village, West Garo Hills.
