IMPHAL: The All Zeliangrong Students’ Union (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) and Zeliangrong Youth Front (AMN) have strongly condemned in the strongest term the rape of four girls at gun point and wanton killing of domestic animals in residential areas, at Khoupum Valley in Tamenglong district by Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) cadres on October 6.
ZUF publicity secretary A Dangmei said the accused, Dibonpou Kamei and Ladjanbung Malangmei had defected from the ZUF ” and so they have nothing to do with our outfit.”
The ZUF leader stated, “Once a cadre is defected from an outfit, that cadre is no longer considered to be in the organisation.” He clarified that Ladjanbung and Dibonpou had defected from the outfit with weapons. (NNN)
