Guv urged to improve village

JOWAI, Feb 5: The local authority from Shnongpdeng village — led by the headman Bnai Synkrem and secretary Lurman B Talang — has submitted a memorandum to Governor Satya Pal Malik, urging the latter to financially assist the village council for expansion and )improvement of the existing Jowai-Amlarem-Dawki road to Darang and Shnongpdeng village.
The village authority has also beseeched Malik to upgrade the existing suspension foot bridge in Shnongpdeng.
The memorandum was submitted during Malik’s visit to the village on Friday.
During his visit, the Governor interacted with the villagers and other stakeholders.
