Recruitment
The Indian Army will conduct a recruitment rally between April 7 and April 16 at Happy Valley, Shillong, for candidates from Meghalaya. According to a statement, the candidates applying for the posts of soldier (general duty) must be aged between 17 ½ and 21 years and those applying for the posts of soldier (technical) and soldier (tradesman) must be aged between 17 ½ and 23 years. “For online registration, educational qualification and other details candidates are advised to visit www.joinindianarmy.nic.in  or call 0364-2506581,” the statement said.

Broadcast
A radio science serial based on Artificial Intelligence will broadcast every Saturday starting March 6. According to a statement, the 52-episode serial entitled Sha ka Lashai will broadcast on AIR FM Jongphi 103.6Mhz 9 am to 9:30am. “There will be an interactive programme after every eight episode where listeners can interact with experts through a phone-in,” it said.

Derecognition
The state government has derecognised M/s 306 Station Workshop, C/o 99 APO — a factory registered under the Factories Act, 1948, and located at 2nd Mile Stone Cherrapunji Road. This was informed by the Chief Inspector of Boilers and Factories, Meghalaya, who has also stated that the name of the aforesaid factory has been deleted from the list of registered factories in Meghalaya.
