ISSF WC: Two more Indian shooters test positive
New Delhi, March 21: Two more Indian shooters have tested positive for COVID-19, taking the number of athletes contracting the highly contagious virus to six in the ongoing ISSF World Cup in the national capital. As per the guidelines, the shooters have been sent into isolation. These two, whose test reports came late on Saturday night, are in addition to the two Indian athletes who have returned positive for the virus at the start of the second competition day of the tournament. A total of 294 shooters from as many as 53 countries, including Korea, Singapore, USA, United Kingdom, Iran, Ukraine, France, Hungary, Italy, Thailand and Turkey, are participating in the tournament. As per the ISSF guidelines, no spectators are allowed inside the range. (PTI)

Football Delhi Women’s League to kick off from March 22
New Delhi, March 21: The opening match of the Football Delhi Women’s League 2020-21 will be played on Monday between Eves Sports Club and Frontier FC Delhi at the Ambedkar Stadium. On the opening day there will be three matches, one at Nehru Stadium Complex and two games at the Ambedkar Stadium. Women’s League will be played on a league-cum-knock out format and on April 10 the final match will be played at the Ambedkar Stadium. Football Delhi president Shaji Prabhakaran said, “This is a record number of teams participating in the Women’s League, the biggest state level women’s league as far number of teams are concerned which is an excellent situation for the growth of women’s football in the capital city. careers and ultimately play for the national team”. The league will be organised following all COVID-19 protocols. (PTI)
