SHILLONG: Former CBI DIG Heimonlang Nongpluh has been promoted to the rank of Inspector General (IG) of Police. Nongpluh, who was on deputation with the CBI, has been given the charge as IG (Special Branch) with additional charge as IG (Western Range). Meanwhile, former IG (Western Range) FD Sangma has been transferred as IG (Training/Armed Police).
