SHILLONG, Aug 23: Mawsynram MLA HM Shangpliang has moved Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong seeking sanction for construction of the Sawsymper Primary Health Centre (PHC) at the earliest besides apprising the minister about a host of other requirements in his constituency.
In a memorandum submitted to Tynsong on Monday, Shangpliang also sought the commissioning of the Lawbah PHC at the earliest as the building has been completed and even the staffs have been appointed and the facility only needs power connection.
The MLA also pointed out that measures should be taken for setting up of health centres in Weiloi, Jyllep and Dholai, while adding that site inspection in these areas is yet to be conducted.
He also asked the government to repair Mawsynram CHC and its staff quarters, as well as the Ryngku PHC.
