JOWAI, Aug 24: The KSU, Jowai, on Tuesday closed down the State Bank of India, Mynso branch, located at Phramer in West Jaintia Hills, alleging that the bank has failed to provide adequate services to its customers.
According to KSU president, Ioanis Suchiang, the bank has no passbook-updating machine and the ATM kiosk installed on the bank premises is also non-functional.
“We had written to the branch manager two month ago and also set a month’s deadline to improve their services but the branch manager never responded to our demands even after two months,” he said.
