Shullai seeks Centre’s support

SHILLONG, Aug 27: Arts and Culture Minister Sanbor Shullai on Thursday called on Union Minister of Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern region (DoNER) G Kishan Reddy in the national capital and sought the Centre’s support for initiatives pertaining to Arts and Culture development.
Shullai, in a memorandum to Reddy, appealed for early sanction of New Rabindranath Tagore Culture Complex at Rilbong under Tagore Cultural Complexes scheme.
Shullai also petitioned the union minister for release of pending project of Meghalaya Tourism Development Corporation, which was initiated when he was the chairman of the Corporation.
Meanwhile, Reddy has assured Shullai of looking into the matter.
