Speeding train claims student in Bangalore

JOWAI: A 22-year-old medical student, Vinisanki Bamon, daughter of Sking Chyrmang from Sutnga village in East Jaintia Hills district, died in Bangalore when a speeding train hit her on Tuesday evening.

“The 3rd year MBBS student of MVJ Medical College and Research Hospital, Bangalore was hit by a local train when she and her three other friends were trying to cross a railway track”, informed a close relative of the deceased.

The body will be brought to Jowai on Thursday.
