Two die in separate accidents in State

SHILLONG: In an accident-related case, a handy man died when the truck (AS01 DC 3843) he was travelling from Shillong to Sohra fell into a deep gorge at Ri Dympep near Mawkdok Bridge on January 3 at around 11pm due to over-speeding. The deceased identified as Iohborlang Shylla was found mid-way of the gorge where he was pronounced dead. Meanwhile, the driver of the truck, Skhemborlang Jana escaped un-hurt.

On January 2 around 3 pm, one truck (AS-01N-5441) dashed against one Maruti car (ML-04B-0398) driven by one Embok Suchen at Tongseng, NH-44 (EJH). One female occupant of the car died on the spot, while others sustained injuries.

An auto-rickshaw overturned on a turning after losing it balance at Mongalgre under Rongram Block, West Garo Hills on January 3 at 7:37 P.M. The injured, Galen Sangma (50), Donseng Marak (56) and Kamilson D. Marak (20) have been shifetd to Civil Hospital, Tura.
