SHILLONG, Sep 14: In a bid to eradicate rumours and provide a boost to COVID-19 vaccination in district, the East Khasi Hills district administration has constituted a toll free helpline for public to clear their doubts and fears over COVID vaccination through one-on-one phone call with doctors and specialists from their homes.In a statement issued here, the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills, Isawanda Laloo, has requested the public to contact the helpline for answers to vaccine-related questions.
The helpline will be active from Wednesday onwards and the people can call the toll free number (1800-890-1191) between Monday and Saturday from 10 AM to 12 PM and from 4 PM to 6 PM, the DC said.
