SHILLONG: The East Khasi Hills District Election Officer Sanjay Goyal has convened a meeting of all the political parties at his office chamber on Monday to discuss the issue of model code of conduct among others.
The purpose of the meeting is to ensure that all the candidates and political parties strictly adhere to the model code of conduct in order to prevent the misuse of MLA schemes to lure the voters.
Election Control : Goyal also informed that a control room for the ensuing elections to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly is set up in Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Room No. 317 (2nd Floor).
