NCP’s third list

 SHILLONG: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Thursday announced its third list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections in the State slated for February 23. Advocate Satender Kumar (Joshi) from Pynthorumkhrah, retired government employee Abraham Sangma from Jirang, active politician Loannis L Mawlong from Umsning, social worker Ketson Ch Marak from Ranikor and sitting MDC and EM incharge of Rural development of GHADC Lalthanluanga D Shira from Selsella were the five candidates named in the list. The NCP has already announced the name of 16 candidates for the elections.

Meanwhile, the Meghalaya Democratic Party (MDP) state election committee held on Wednesday has cleared the names of 2 candidates who will contest the coming election from the party. Martle N Mukhim who will contest from 29-Mawkynrew constituency and Bokstar Nongrang from 30-Mairang Constituency and that the party’s symbol for this election will be the Bridge.
