Funds misappropriation

The BDO of Ranikor, HS Diengdoh, lodged a complaint on February 3 at Ranikor PS that one Goner K Lartang, Secretary of Dongmawlein village in South West Khasi Hills had forged the signatures of the job card holders during implementation of MGNREGS (2010-2011) under Ranikor C&RD Block.

Assault/ threat

One M Kharsati lodged a complaint at Madanrting PS that on February 5 at around 7.30 pm, one Basilamon Kharsati along with her two sons, Marbadabiang Marboh and Dawababiang Marboh, pelted stones at her vehicle (ML-05H-5859), assaulted her and snatched away one cell-phone at Mawryngkneng in East Khasi Hills.

On February 5 at around 8 pm, unknown miscreants assaulted one Bokstar Nongkhlaw and Bestarwell Warlarpih (24) at Smit in East Khasi Hills. As a result both of them sustained injuries and were shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital.

One Hun Pde lodged a complaint at Lumshnong AD Camp that on February 4 around 10 pm, her son Damanmiki Pde threatened her and her family members with dire consequences at Lumshnong in East Jaintia Hills.

Rape

On February 3 around 2 am, two unidentified persons allegedly raped an 18-year-old girl at Ronggrengpal village in South Garo Hills.

A woman lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on February 3 at around 7 pm, one Deng attempted to rape her in her residence at Nongrah Shillong.

Theft

One Debajit Bhattacharjee lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on January 24 at around 7.25 am, unknown miscreants withdrew Rs 20,000 from his account from an SBI ATM at Polo, Shillong.

One Wickliffe Wanniang, Gram Sevak Grade-I lodged a complaint at Laban PS that on January 21 at around 10.30 am, unknown miscreants stole the official camera from his vehicle which was parked at Sohiong in East Khasi Hills.

BK Dey, Sr. Post Master, Shillong General Post Office, lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on January 18, unknown miscreants stole two money order stamps from the post office.
