SHILLONG, Dec 26: Lympyngad defeated HNCC by 41 runs in a Third Division match, here on SUnday after Player-of-the-Match Rodney Ryan smashed 80 runs off 53 deliveries. HNCC won the toss and bowled first as Lympyngad scored 209/5 in 20 overs. Akash Dutta scored a quickfire 67 off 37 deliveries. Rahul Biswa took 2/21.
In reply, HNCC got off to a good start but could only get to 168/6 in 20 overs. Sanjeev scored 49 off 31 deliveries. For Lympyngad, Kidlee finished figures of 3/24.
In the second match, Sportive Junior registered a 124-run victory over Shillong Press Club. Sportive Junior won the toss and batted first, scoring 172/9 in 20 overs. Taney top-scored with 24.
Aafaque Hussain was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3/18 while Sain took 2/33. However, the Shillong Press Club were bundled out for 46 in 15 overs. Aafaque was the top scorer with 13 runs. Player-of-the-Match Bappon bowled tightly giving away only 7 runs in his 4 overs while taking 4 wickets.
