3, including child, hurt in Ri-Bhoi road mishap

NONGPOH, Jan 30: As many as three persons, including a child, were injured after a truck went off road and rammed into a house at 18 Mile in Ri-Bhoi.
As per sources, the incident occurred when the truck (NL01AF3307) driven by Dunjal Marak (24), a resident of Upper Naboli, Mendipathar, was proceeding towards Guwahati from Shillong, reportedly at a very high speed.
It was then when the overspeeding truck lost control on reaching 18 Mile, went off road and dashed into the house of one Rangpyrkhat Kharmalki.
It was also informed that apart from damages to the vehicle and the house, a two-year-old child, identified as David Suting, also sustained injuries in the course.
The child was then rushed to Nongpoh Civil Hospital by National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) ambulance for treatment.
