Donkupar victorious with least margin

 SHILLONG: Among the many former Chief Ministers who contested the just concluded Assembly elections, the least margin victory is that of UDP leader Donkupar Roy (Shella) with just 355 votes.

While the Chief Minister designate Mukul Sangma retained the Ampati seat with a record margin of 9096, the former Chief Minister SC Marak, who was elected after ten years from Resubelpara secured a margin of 1329.

MPCC president and former chief minister DD Lapang won the Nongpoh seat by a margin of 3598.
