Arrest
lMendipathar Police arrested one Senton Sangma in connection with a dacoity case under Mendipathar PS (NGH).
lOn March 5, one Jamiruddin was caught red-handed while he was pick-pocketing at Police Bazar Mosque, Shillong.
Funds misappropriated
One Piruzshah Bhesania lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on March 5, one Sam Samuel, employee of Hotel Ashutosh Inn, GS Road, Shillong, misappropriated Rs.10,000 and Rs.25,000 belonging to the complainant and one Benjamin.
Molestation
One Babul Das lodged a complaint at Dalu PS that on March 5 at around 2.30 am, Ajoy Paul molested his daughter in their residence at Choipani (WGH).
Theft
lOn March 5 at about 10 pm, unknown miscreants stole one truck (ML-04A-8681) belonging to Donaldki Shylla from Ladthalaboh, NH-44 (WJH). On March 6 morning, the stolen truck was recovered from Barato village.
lOn March 4 evening, one Sam Samuel stole Rs. 54,470/- from Hotel Ashutosh Inn, GS Road, Shillong.
lOn March 3 night, unknown miscreants stole School Uniforms from Holy Cross Convent at Mendipathar (NGH).
lOn March 3 at around 4 pm, unknown miscreants stole one truck (AS-01BC-2775) belonging to one Chandradhan Singha from 7th Mile, Pasyih village (WJH). Later, the truck was recovered from Sohshrieh village (EJH). In this connection, Police arrested Santosh Nongrum and Pelki Pale.
Threatening cases
lOn March 5 at around 10 am, Phaikol Dkhar pelted stones at the house of one Shalbi Siangshai at Madanrtiang village (WJH) and Marlin Pyrtuh at Umjalisiaw village (WJH) and also threatened them.
lOn March 2 around at 6.30 pm, two persons, Bashaibor Kharrngi and Michael Nongkynrih pelted stones at a vehicle (ML-05J-4925) belonging to one Shanbat Thabah at Kharngoi village (EKH). As a result, three persons sustained injuries and the vehicle was damaged. Same day (March 2) at around 8 pm, the accused persons again pelted stones at the vehicle.
Attack
On March 4 evening, one Sonu Singh wrongfully restrained one lady, Shahnaz Begum at 4th Furlong, Polo. However, she managed to flee. Later, the accused attempted to attack her with a knife.
