Inauguration
The Surbathiang Community Reserve, an initiative of the Surbathiang Wildlife Preservation Society will concentrate in afforestation programmes, preservation of wildlife habitats along with socio-economic development which will go a long way in protecting the nature and uplift the socio-economic condition at the grassroot level. This will be inaugurated by Governor RS Mooshahary on March 23 at Mawtari-Myrdon village in Ri Bhoi district.
Campaign
The concluding event of the health awareness campaign of the ministry of health and family welfare 2012-2013, Government of India will be held on March 19 at 11am at the PCI conference hall at Lower Lachumiere.
Seminar
lThe Indian Council of Social Science Research, North Eastern Regional Centre and North eastern Council will organise an inaugural function of the international seminar on India’s Look East Policy and the north eastern region: Strengthening the continental route on March 21 wherein Governor RS Mooshahary will be the chief guest on the occasion.
lThe ICSSR North Eastern Regional Centre in collaboration with the NEC will be organising a two-day international seminar on Look East Policy on 21st and 22nd March 2013 at the NEC Auditorium.
lAs a part of the Siam Sin Pawl Pi Golden Jubilee celebrations, the organization will hold a two day national academic seminar at ICCSR-NERC, NEHU campus from March 19. The seminar will be inaugurated by ICARE president Toki Blah.
lA seminar on Integrated Learning for Environmental Management will be held at Hotel Landmark Hills Victoria, Nongrim Hills on March 21 and 22.
Training
The Employment Officer, Coaching Cum Guidance Centre for Scheduled Caster and Scheduled Tribe will be conducting a two week training programme free of cost for the unemployed ST and SC candidates preparing to appear for the written examination for Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2013 from March 21.
Workshop
The Department of Physics, St Anthony’s College, Shillong will organize a three day National workshop on “Particle Physics” from March 21 to March 23. Eminent resource persons from IACS, Kolkata, IIT, Guwahati, Gauhati University and NEHU will deliver talks.

The Council of Catholic Women Archdiocese, Shillong has conveyed its heartiest congratulations to the four women Legislators who won their seats from their respective Constituencies during the General Election 2013 and were appointed as Cabinet Ministers and M.L.A respectively.
