EGH village gets turmeric processing plant

SHILLONG, March 29: A turmeric processing plant was on Monday installed at Moolang village in East Jaintia Hills as part of a civic action programme of 67th Battalion CRPF.
According to a statement, the programme was organised by the CRPF in collaboration with the village organisation and Meghalaya State Rural Livelihood Society.
During the programme, the turmeric processing plant was inaugurated by EJH Deputy Commissioner Abhilash Baranwal in the presence of Commandant-67 Bn CRPF Alok Bhattacharya, members of MSRLS, CRPF personnel, villagers, et al.
The turmeric processing plant is likely to benefit around 1,000 locals.
