SHILLONG, April 5: District Council Affairs Minister, Lahkmen Rymbui on Tuesday denied that the state government has received the report of the Directorate of Local Fund Audit (DLFA) which was asked to conduct an audit following alleged misappropriation of central funds in the GHADC and JHADC.
It may be reminded that a source had  revealed that the DLFA submitted the audit report into the alleged misappropriation of funds in the JHADC on December 23 last year.
Divulging some of the findings, the source said that the JHADC had temporarily diverted the funds received under the SAG for payment of salaries to its employees.
Stating that he has no information about the report, Rymbui said the matter is being looked after by the Political department and the government will do what is required to be done once the report comes in.
He said that the DLFA will submit its reports to the Home, Political and DCA departments.
The State BJP, an ally of the NPP-led MDA Government, had earlier alleged corruption to the tune of crores of rupees sanctioned under the Special Assistance Grant (SAG) in the GHADC and JHADC and had demanded a CBI probe into the anomalies, but the state government ordered an audit by the DLFA.
