Health camp for special athletes in city

SHILLONG, April 9: As part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, the Special Olympics Bharat, Meghalaya Chapter, organised a health camp for special athletes at Don Bosco Hall, Laitumkhrah.
The health camp, which was sponsored by social activist Michael Kharsyntiew, was attended by dental surgeons, medical doctors, ENT and eye specialists from NEIGRIHMS, Ganesh Das Government Maternal and Child Hospital, Bansara Eye Care Centre, etc.
As many as 230 special athletes — mostly from special schools like Bethany Society, Jyoti Sroat Special School, Dwar Jingkyrmen, etc. — benefitted out of the health camp.
