BJP reviews performance of Poshan Abhiyaan

SHILLONG, April 19: The South Shillong Mahila Morcha of the BJP, under the leadership of MLA Sanbor Shullai, organised a programme to review the performance of central government’s Poshan Abhiyaan.
According to a statement, the programme was attended by National Executive Member Banani Sharma from Tripura, mahila state BJP President Judy Surong, president of BJP South Mahila Morcha Saraswati Rai, among others.
Addressing the programme, Sharma appealed to the anganwadi workers to come forward and air their difficulties, if any, in the implementation of Poshan Abhiyaan.
“The National Executive member stated that all problems faced by the Anganwadi workers in Meghalaya will be sent to the central leaders and if any discrepancies are found in implementing the programme, the BJP Meghalaya workers can immediately file complaint to the central leader,” the statement said.
On the other hand, Surong assured that the Meghalaya BJP mahila morcha will constantly keep a tab on the implementation of Poshan Abhiyan in the state.
During the programme, Shullai provided financial assistance of Rs two lakh to 100 workers and distributed food packets among the Anganwadi and Asha workers of South Shillong constituency.
