Ex-Cong MLA joins AITC

TURA, May 18: Former Congress MLA from Rongjeng constituency in East Garo Hills, Sengman Marak, joined the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) on Wednesday in an induction ceremony held in Williamnagar.
Sengman won from the Rongjeng constituency in 2013 on a Congress ticket and his entry into the AITC will bolster their chances of winning the seat in the 2023 Assembly elections.
The induction ceremony was attended by various MDCs of the AITC including Balachanda’a Agassi Marak, Rongrong’s Rinaldo K Sangma, Samanda’s Lahitson Sangma among others.
